Africa....

Ok. So I know I haven't been a faithful blogger the past few weeks, and I have let Nick down terribly. But, I have a GREAT reason. I was away in Africa. I had the time of my life. As most of you know I went about 2 weeks ago with my church. We were all so excited to get there, and when we did, of course...we didnt want to come back. We had the time of our lives. As expected the plane ride was awful, the food was horrid, Germans hate us, and the list goes on. But I wanted to post a photo from my trip. Here is a preview. Enjoy!!

Rain, Rain, GO AWAY!!!

I had the pleasure of second shooting a wedding several weeks back with Nick Drollette. This wedding took us to The Old Meri Weather House in Lapine, Alabama. Ashley and Austin shared in this wonderful day together despite the down pour of rain 30 minutes before the Ceremony. Ashley Handled it surprisingly well. Thanks for letting us be apart of your special day. It was truly and honor.

I know, I know...

I haven't blogged in ages. I have offically failed my fellow bloggers. It has been a terribly long past to weeks. I have not only been super busy going round and round shooting photos, but May 7th, 2009, my dear Great Grandmother, Catharine Lousie passed away. Between working, and hospital visits, a funeral, and traveling, I am worn out. I promise I have tons of photos sessions I need to blog about, and I will do so very soon. ;)

The skies were cloudy, wind was blowing, but we managed to get some photos. Ethan is a momma's boy. Defineintly not the type that wanted to be photographed. But we manged to get some shots. These are just a few of my fave black and whites. Enjoy!!

Rain Boots and Mud Puddles

Today Addy Grace and I decided we wanted to play in the rain....so we did just that. Addy sported her Red Ladybug Rain Boots, and we kicked and jumped in every mud puddle we could find. I got a little snap happy with my camera, and didnt realize how wet she actually got...her rain boots were full of water. All in all we had a blast...she didn't want to go back inside. Here are a couple shots from our adventure...ENJOY!!!

Ben and Terra

Today I had the pleasure of shooting some photos for Ben and Terra Russell. They hadnt had photos made together since their engagement pictures, and they have been married several years. I prayed and prayed for the weather to hold off, and it did. I was thrilled. I loved their photos, and was thrilled with the results. Ben and Terra were great to work with and were up for anything. My favorite part of our adventureous day, was when Terra decided to leave their car unlocked, with car keys, her purse, her cell phone, and her iPod all laying in the front seat. That screams someone steal my car... It made my day. Enjoy!!!

Rain!! Rain!! GO AWAY!!

Its been a while since I have last blogged. Scarlett Lillian inspires me to blog more than I should. This week has been SUPER BUSY. I have 3 photo shoots this week, and a weekend full of activities. Bad News is, Rich Thomas told me is was going to rain the rest of the week. I am praying the rain away. I am pretty excited about Shooting Becca's Senior Photos this week. Becca is a great friend of mine and has such a bubbly and free spirit. I think her photos will turn out great.
Ben are Terra are just a few more photos I have the honors of shooting this week. The Russells are family friends of ours and have known a very long time. Ben and Terra have a couple of chnages they are about to embark on in life, and have asked me to shoot some updated photos of them. Terra told me they havent had photos made since before they got married. I think they have been married a couple of years now. :/
I am most excited about shooting Eathan Harris' 2 year old Potraits. My grandmother recently referred Eathans Parents to me, and I am honored I was chosen to shoot these special images.
I will try my hardest to blog these images as soon as I have them edited. Pray the rain away for me this week.

Facebook Friends..

I had the privaledge of meeting, Nick Drollette, an incredibly talented young photographer the other day....I recently recieved a friend request on Facebook, from a guy that I had never met. We messaged back and forth a few times,  had some conversations about photography, I commented all his amazing photos, joined his photography group, visited his website,  so we decided to meet.
Meeting Nick, honestly was like a answer to prayer. We shared Ideas, visions, and talked like we were industry professionals!!! As most of you may know, I have been working with another Photographer here in town and I love every minute of it, but meeting Nick, who is my age, has the same intrest and passions as me, has opened up doors, oppurtunities, and a knowledge that I would have never known if I hadn't met Nick. He has an incredible talent and has a tremendous future ahead of him. Nick and I have a couple of projects in the works, and I am thrilled to get the chance to work with him. He has dreams, ideas, goals, he is driven, and passionate. It was a blessing meeting Nick, and I look foward to not only working together, but seeing where the Lord takes him in the near furture.

Be sure and visit Nick Drollette.....

Extreme Home Makeover

Its been awhile since I have last blogged. I know the whole blogging deal is a daily basis, and I try!! Really!! But I wanted to share my recent experience with you. I had the privalege of being a VIP this weekend at Aronov's Extreme Home Makeover Site. ABC, Ty Pennington and the whole gang were there. It was crazy. ABC and ARONOV chose the Jordan Family who live on the South Side of Montgomery, in the South Lawn Community. Being there not only to see what progress was being made on the home, but to get to see the reaction from the Jordan Family as we all yelled,  "MOVE THAT BUS!!!" The Jordan Family was truly deserving, and have been blessed beyond beliefs. I have posted a few photos to share the oppurtunity with you guys!! I took around 700 photos the whole weekend. I hope you enjoy!!
